Opus Plasma

Opus Plasma utilizes fractional plasma energy to produce effects akin to those achieved through deep laser resurfacing treatments, all without the associated downtime. During the procedure, our practitioner applies the device to your skin, and the unipolar RF energy emitted by the metal pins reacts with the air, generating plasma. This plasma, in turn, forms minuscule channels, comparable to micro injuries induced by microneedling, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin in your skin.

 

The fractional nature of the plasma energy ensures that only a fraction of the area is treated at a time, preserving the integrity of the surrounding skin and promoting accelerated healing. The outcome is smoother, more elastic, and rejuvenated skin, without the prolonged recovery period associated with other skin resurfacing treatments.

Opus Plasma treatments are generally well-tolerated, but individual experiences with pain or discomfort may vary. Some individuals may feel a mild sensation during the treatment. However, to enhance patient comfort, we at RR Medspa apply a topical anesthetic to numb the treated area before starting the Opus Plasma procedure.

 

The level of discomfort can depend on factors such as individual pain tolerance, the treatment area, and the specific settings used during the procedure. Please don’t hesitate to communicate openly with us about any discomfort you may be experiencing, as we can make adjustments to ensure a more comfortable experience!

Is there any downtime post-procedure?

The downtime is relatively minimal, especially when compared to traditional laser resurfacing treatments, but you can still expect some redness and swelling for up to 2 to 3 days. If needed, makeup may be worn 24 hours after the procedure to conceal any redness. We recommend using the Alma CBD+ recovery line post-procedure. Your skin will be especially sensitive to UVA and UVB rays, so you will need to avoid direct sun exposure and make sure to wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen for the next 2 weeks, although we recommend wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily and reapplying in general, regardless of whether or not you've recently had an Opus Plasma treatment.

What results can I expect?

Expected results will depend on your skin concern, along with the amount of treatments you receive. Generally, we recommend 3 treatments to see your best results, but even after just the first treatment, you should notice improvement immediately.
